Omaha Steaks Pork Chop Recipe

Is there anything good from Omaha Steaks?

My mother, bless her heart, gave me $100 gift cert to OS for xmas. I have had a couple of cuts in the past that were pretty much terrible, but I don't remember what they were. It seems to get abysmal reviews all the way around. I really would hate to see this go to waste. If you had $100 free to spend there, is there anything you might stock the freezer up with for a rainy or lazy day? Otherwise, I might just regift it to someone in need.

I mean, you could always go for the low-n-slow cuts... but honestly, no idea, never been 'lucky' enough to get a gift from them.

edit: You know, I shouldn't be so cynical. It would be nice if someone spent $100 on me, even if it wasn't my first (or second, thrid, etc) choice.

yeah, i hate to sound ungrateful. It was a really nice gesture on her part. I am not going to let it go to waste one way or the other.

I got some for Christmas last year. They were pretty good. I got ribeyes.

Yeah, their products are good. Possibly overrated but they don't sell bad shitm

It's not anything that completely blows me away - and I'd say I can get just as good or better locally. But "abysmal" is a bit much. Overrated? Sure? Atrocious? I wouldn't say that.

I got a sausage attachment and a meat grinder for my kitchen aid this xmas as well. Maybe I could use some of this to learn to make sausage...

You could also sell it on one of those gift card trading sites? Even trading it for a grocery store would be more helpful to someone in need TBH.

They used to have some bomb ass turkey. Not sure if they still do...was my yearly christmas present from work for awhile.

Never had issues with their steaks. I like being able to get cuts that aren't always in my grocer's/butcher's case.
